Ingredients
- 1 sheet puff pastry
- 3 apples, sliced
- 1/3 C apricot jam
- 1 lemon, juiced
- 1 C water
- Powdered sugar
Instructions
- In a bowl combine the lemon juice with water and set aside.
- Halve and core the apples, thinly slice them and place them in the lemon water. Microwave on high for 3 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 350°.
- Roll a puff pastry sheet into a large rectangle and cut into 17 strips about 1.5" wide. Spread a tablespoon of apricot jam on each pastry strip. Arrange 7 - 9 apple slices lengthwise in a single layer, slightly overlapping one another, over 1/3 of the width of the pastry strip. Fold the remaining part of the pastry strip over the layer of apples and roll up the sheet. Continue with the remaining strips and apples. Place the apple roses into a muffin pan and bake for 40 - 45 minutes.
- Decorate with powdered sugar and serve
