1 (4-5 pd) whole, fresh salmon, filleted
1/4 cup vegetable oil
2 tbsp lemon juice
3 tbsp soy sauce
1 large garlic glove, minced
1/2 tsp dried thyme
Place salmon fillets in a glass or other non-corrosive baking pan. Combine oil, lemon juice, soy sauce, garlic, and thyme. Pour over salmon fillets. Marinate 1 hour, turning occasionally. Prepare the barbecue and cover grate with aluminum foil. Remove fillets and place skin-side-down on foil and baste with marinade. Grill over medium heat 25 minutes, until fish flakes easily with a fork. Do not turn fish.
Notes:
Serves 4-5
When fillets are cooked, you should be able to transfer them to a serving platter, leaving the skin behind on the foil.
